Socialists Call for Investigation Into the Cost of Work on Av. Europa

The Socialists have demanded an enquiry into the awarding of the contract to improve Avenida Europa to the firm Elsamex S. A. The company have won the contract to do the work with 1.1million € from the Plan Confianza. The Socialists not only are concerned about the fact that the firm is the same one that built the retaining wall at the Nou Paternina School. This wall had to be rebuilt and there has still not been a report on its safety. The Socialists claim that another firm put in a more competitive bid.

The construction of the Trinquet court has also been awarded to Coinger, tha company which built the Municipal swimming pool. The amount of money allotted to the Trinquet is 254,237€ and it is funded by Plan E. The Town has to pay 25% of the money for each project.
