RCN Calpe - Nautical Club of Calpe - celebrates the arrival of Christmas On Saturday December 17 Calpe RCN organizes the Calpe Christmas Trophy for Optimist and Tom 28. The competition is organized for all student members of the School Sailing Club and sailors participating in the Tom 28 league of RCN Calpe. On Sunday December 18th at 14:30 the Christmas Trophy Awards will take place for all members of the Sailing School and participants in the Tom 28 League. For the first time this year, some sailors from the crews participating in the race of Tom 28 and parents of sailors from the Sailing School have offered to prepare a barbecue and paella tasting for all participating sailors to internal 2011 leagues and parents and students of the Sailing School. The RCN Calpe does not close for Christmas and sports activities continue until the end of 2011. The RCN Calpe and the Sailing Federation of Communidad Valenciana are organizing a concentration of self-contained Laser 4.7 sub 15 and sub 17. The best Laser 4.7 athletes in the Valencian Community will attend the rally during the 26st, 27th and 28th December. During the holiday season, Optimist Sailing School students will enjoy a special Christmas activity from 26 to 29 December. With the target set to maintain the good results obtained at the end of the 2011 season, improve them if possible, and increase the number of sailors that attend the RCN Calpe Autonomous Sailing Championship for Children, coaches prepare four days of fun and intense training and students will end the year 2011 in the best way possible: practicing your favorite sport in the sea and enjoying the passion for sailing. The Tom 28 Fleet also have activities at Christmas: the RCN Calpe will organize the Trophy of Innocents: A race of Tom 28 for RCN Calpe members and friends to be held on Wednesday 28th December.
