A new international cultural association has been formed in Calpe, called ILUSIÓN-ARTE.
The association is independent and non-profit making, and aims to bring to Calpe interesting and high quality cultural activities, such as concerts, recitals, poetry evenings, lectures, exhibitions, film and book presentations.
The first activity is on Friday 5 November (8.30 pm). The tenor JOSE LUIS LURI, accompanied by his pianist Federico Solano, will bring a rich repertoire of music from Italian Opera to Spanish Zarzuela and film music. The concert takes place at the hotel Diamante Beach in Calpe. Admission is free for members.
During November, the following activities have also been organised:
- Friday 12 November (6 pm) : Wine tasting by the Valencian bodega "Hoya de Cadenas" at the hotel Diamante Beach. Participation is limited. Subscription necessary – 10 Euro, free for members.
-Friday 26 November (8.30 pm) : Recital by the young and internationally acclaimed cellist GEORGINA SÁNCHEZ TORRES, laureate of many awards, among others, the Primer Premio de Arte Joven de Castilla y León. In the church of the old town, Virgen de Las Nieves. Free entrance for members.
- Friday 10 December (8 pm) Poetry Recital (with translation) in commemoration of the Alicantinian poet MIGUEL HERNANDEZ (1910-1942). Free for members.
