Information on how to vote in the local elections in Calpe on 22 May is provided on the PP Calpe Website:

The local elections in Calpe take place on 22 May, and all voting will take place at the Casa de Cultura.

If you are on the electoral register, you will receive a voting card by post during the week before the election.

Several rooms are being used as Polling Stations at the Casa De Cultura, and your voting card will tell you which room to go to.

If you do not receive a voting card by the week prior to the elections, you need to go to the Padron with your passport and residencia and notify them.

If you don’t have time to go to the Padron, you can still vote without the voting card – you just need to go into the main hall of the Casa de Cultura on the day to find out which Polling Station to go to.

The Voting System
Voting in Spain is done by Proportional Representation, therefore you are voting for a party, not for an individual.
When you want to make your vote, you need to choose the voting paper of the party you are voting for, and place it in the envelope provided, then place in the box.

In order to vote, you must have your passport with you on the day for identification.
