Calpe Youth Council & Red Cross launch Christmas Toy Drive in Calpe

The Youth Council, directed by Noelia Poquet, and the Red Cross Calpe, have launched for the third consecutive year a campaign to collect of toys that will go to home of families in need of help. The organisers try to raise awareness of those who have nothing at Christmas, and that to children who will not otherwise receive any gifts, a toy will make all the difference. Parents and children in Calpe are being asked to find and donate new or used toys in good condition. The toys can be donated until the 15th December in the Casal de las Associaciones, located in the Plaza Constitution, from Monday - Friday. The toys will be sent to the Spanish Red Cross of Calpe for distribution. If you cannot take the toys a collection service is available by calling 647775947. All children at Calpe schools have been sent a letter to encourage them to partake in the campaign.
