The local theatre group played to full houses when they staged two fund raising evenings at the Casa de la Cultura. The groups intention was to entertain whilst helping those in need.
The two projects that benefited from the money raised where an NGO workshop in Mozambique run by “Visió Sense Fronteras” - Vision without Frontiers - , and social projects organised by the Parish Church of “Nuestra Señora de las Nieves”.
“Visió Sense Fronteras was founded by Isabel Signes of Optica Signes. The project gives people free prescribed spectacles, and performs simple surgery such as the removal of cataracts.
The theatre group performed two excellent comedy sketches. Between the two sketches the audiences were entertained with an excellent exhibition from the local folk dance group FODAP, and a beautiful poetry reading accompanied by a guitar.
