Calpe Beaches receive "Q" award

CALPE BEACHES YET AGAIN THE ONLY ONES ON THE MARINA ALTA COAST TO RECEIVE THE “Q” FLAG FROM THE MINISTRY OF TOURISM This week the Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Beaches, Antonio Romera, received flags of quality Tourism the “Q”s from Miguel Sebastian, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism. The flags are awarded by the ICTE-Spanish Institute for Quality Tourism. The symbols prove that the winning beaches, La Fossa and Arenal-Bol have excellent water and all the facilities required by tourists and beachgoers. Antonio Romera stated it was a particular cause for satisfaction and pride for Calpe that the beaches had won the awards for yet another year. It was also noted that the beaches are the only ones in the Marina Alta to receive this prestigious award. Benidorm has been awarded one flag and Orihuela three. In total 152 beaches in Spain have received the award, 39 of them in the Communidad of Valencia. .
