Archaeological & History Museum Calpe

Calpe's History & Archaelogical museum is located in Calle Santísimo Cristo nº 7, in the part of the building known as "Casa de la Senyoreta".

The museum has two floors and basement. The main facade consists of three bays of vertical proportion, keeping a certain symmetry about the central body, highlighting the balcony, the clock and the large bell.

The museum shows various findings from the 4th to 8th century. Alongside, you find ruins of the Romans and the ruins of the Baño de la Reina (the Queens baths), together with remains of an old tower, the Torreon de la Peca. Finds of the Queens baths are also on display at the museum, including utensils of all sorts, coins and items from burials. As archaeological research is still continuing in Calpe, the museum's collection is added to regularly.
