FLATPAXABIA - IKEA Shopping Service Description:


"IKEA - Personal Shopping, Delivery and Assembly Service" - available for delivery to Calpe and surrounding areas.





The Concept
In January 2007 Bob and Rosanne watched Rosanne’s sister “Kate” furnish her apartment in Javea - although exciting it proved to be a long and very tiring procedure.
 
She decided to buy her furniture from IKEA
 
By the time she had driven down to Murcia, spent a good while parking, shopped, driven back from Murcia, and got the furniture into her apartment in Javea, she was exhausted.

Then started the assembly – Bob built the furniture and everything looked lovely – she was thrilled with the transformation of her apartment.
 
However, having had the experience, she said “she wondered if she would have set out on this venture had she known just how exhausting and time consuming it would be”.
 
Although none of us knew it at that moment, the idea for “FLATPAXABIA” was born.
 
Over the following months Bob and Rosanne chatted to people about IKEA and how they felt about heading down there on their days off work to buy furniture and stuff for the house.  Many people gave many different responses but the overall answer to the question was “Although we love IKEA furniture – we haven’t got the time to shop, arrange transport and build ourselves!!!”

The Service

Bob and Rosanne now provide a “PREMIUM SERVICE” for their customers.  They personally shop regularly at the IKEA store in Murcia.  They deliver to the door and Bob assembles any or all of the furniture, if required by the customer.
 
Their main aim is to provide a professional and personal service. 

Their customers are varied: some are local people, some are people on holiday who don’t want to spend their precious time going around furniture stores, some are people who contact them from their home country in advance of coming to buy a property.  The customer simply provides their IKEA shopping list and the next thing they know the furniture is arriving at their home.

A service is now available where FLATPAXABIA go along to their customer's property, measure up and furnish their apartment or villa.  
This “complete package” is one example where their business is naturally evolving due to demand.
 
Areas Covered
The service is now being offered across the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida – from Gandia down to Vera and inland.
