Town Hall has calculated the amount in the alledged rubbish weight fraud

The Town Hall Technical Services Department have calculated the amount in the alledged rubbish weight fraud.

The alleged rubbish weighing fraud expected to be more than 8,500,000€.
The Technical Services Department of the Town Hall has calculated that the rubbish removal company, Colsur SL has over charged for the Town for 198,880 tons in the last ten years.
The estimated amount that the company has overcharged the Town by is 8,618,069€.
The Town Hall press release stated that the accountants were still studying the figures, and that the figures include the bills which have not been paid since July,2008.
Since then the monthly bills have not been paid.
The Mayor, Ximo Tur, has sent off the documentation requested by the Nº 1 court in Denia, which is investigating the alleged fraud named the Brugal case.
It is expected that the ex Mayor, Javier Morató, Councillors Juan Roselló and Fernando Penella along with ex Councillor and Town Hall lawyer Manuel Roura and the brother-in-law of Juan Roselló, Francisco Artocho will all be implicated in the case as having been involved in the fraud.
Manuel Roura is also implicated in the alledged fraudulent purchase of the land where the electrical substation is at Oltá, and Juan Roselló and his brother-in-law Francisco Artocho are implicated in the Aguas de Calpe case.
