The beaches of Calpe are offering the tourists guaranteed security and comfort. There is a team of 31 lifeguards working hard to protect the safety of the thousands of bathers visiting Calpe. Due to the Lifeguards hard work, so far there have been fewer accidents than last year. Rojuser, the company responsible for the surveillance, make sure their personnel conduct training procedures on the beach every day. The company coordinates at all times with the Local Police who are patrolling the promenade. The Lifeguards operate between 10.00hrs and 20.00hrs. Flags are also hoisted every morning to show bathers the condition of the sea. A green flag indicates that the sea is right for bathing. A yellow flag advises people to remain on shore. A red flag means the sea is dangerous and bathers are prohibited from entering the water. The service carries on until the 15th of October.
