The People

Gurkha House is run by Ishwor & his family, who give all customers a warm welcome. 

They are always happy to guide customers through the menu, and to help them choose the best combination of dishes.

Head chef Babu, has over 18 year's experience, having worked in both India & Nepal. He produces a wide variety of dishes, including the specialities of the house.

The Restaurant

Gurkha House is located just off the Playa Arenal in Calpe, a couple of minutes drive from the town centre.

Customers have the choice of dining inside the attractively decorated restaurant, or outside on the comfortable terrace.
 
It enjoys the benefit of free parking directly outside the restaurant, and offers customers full disabled access.

CHICKEN AFGANI
(Fillets of chicken stuffed with nuts herbs and spices, cooked in an exotic home-made sauce)

ROGANI LAMB
(Tender lamb cubes, lentil, lemon pieces, dry fruits, herbs and spices cooked in rogani curry sauce)

HIMALI LAMB
(A delicacy of gypsies’ lamb chunks and mince cooked with whole spices and tomatoes)

CHICKEN SAAG
(Tender chicken pieces Cooked with spinach cumin, ginger, garlic and spices)

LAMB ROGAN JOSH
(Unique flavoured dish cooked with onion, tomato, herbs and Indian spices)

CHICKEN CHILLI
(Tender deep-fried chicken, mixed with fresh chillies, green and red peppers, onions and a special thick sauce)

CHICKEN SWEET & SOUR
(Tender deep-fried chicken, mixed with peppers, onions, mushroom and a home-made sweet and sour sauce)

CHICKEN KASHMIRI
(Chicken cooked with coconut and cocktail fruits in a mild creamy sauce)

HIMALI KOPTA CURRY
(Meat balls cooked with nuts, Himali herbs and spices in a tangy sauce)
