Craft Fair opens in Calpe Old Town

CRAFT FAIR OPENS IN THE OLD TOWN OF CALPE

For the fourteenth year Calpe Old Town boasts a open air craft fair. This year there are 45 stalls selling handmade goods such as shoes, clothing, paintings, sculptures, metalwork, turned wood and crafted leather. Some of the artists will also be holding workshops for children starting at 20.00hrs. The children will be shown simple crafts, taught to draw caricatures, play games and have their faces painted. The fair is sponsored by the Department of Commerce and is the responsibility of Councillor Juan Rosello who had arranged for area to be free from traffic whilst the stalls are open. The fair runs from Tuesday to Sunday each week opening at 20.00hrs until 24.00hrs. The fair will be open until the 13th of September.
