Town Hall Announces FIRACALP'11 Food Festival

The Town Hall has announced the details for participating in the 3rd annual "FIRACALP" - FIRACALP'11 - food festival. Applications have to be submitted between 14 March & 1 April. Registration forms can be collected from the Oficina de Atención al Ciudadano, the Tourism Office, or the Trade / Commerce office, or electronically via the following link: http://www.calpe.es/turismo/noticias/noticias-ficha.php?id_noticia=391 FiraCalp'11 involves the participation of shops located in the town who pay council taxes, and holding a licence to open a shop or have begun the application process itself. The City will provide each participant with a stand of 3 x 2 meters. The selection of participants will take into account having a wide and varied range of commercial and hospitality sector, and the council has set a maximum number of establishments in each activity, The participation fee established for participating merchants is 100.00 euros and 150.00 euros for bars, restaurants and cafes. In the event of the suspension of the event, for example due to bad weather, the payment will be returned to the business. FiraCalp'11 starts on Thursday May 5 at 19:00 pm and end at 02:00 hours the following day. On Friday 6, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 May, the exhibition will open at 11.00 am.
