Calpe Tourist Office Introduces New "Tapas Route"

A new campaign to promote tapas in Calpe will run from 17th September until 14th November. Each collaborating establishment has to supply two or three tapas accompanied with a drink for 2 Euros. A gastronomical plan will be created to list all participating restaurants, and at the end of the campaign all establishments will receive a special passport from the Tourism Office. After the campaign, there will be a prize draw for all participants with prizes such as a weekend break in a local hotel, a spa circuit, or dinner for 2 people offered by the winning establishments. One new addition to this year's campaign is to vote for the best tapa, and the best establishment. 250 letters have been sent by the Department of Tourism to local establishments to inform people of the campaign & to invite them to participate.
